NOGALES, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Santa Cruz County has filed 39 charges against David Ernesto Murillo, the man accused of killing Nogales Police Officer Jesus Cordova.

They include first degree murder, attempted first degree murder, multiple charges of aggravated assault, armed robbery, kidnapping, burglary, criminal damage, fleeing law enforcement, and illegally firing a weapon.

Murillo is expected in court Wednesday morning, May 2 for his arraignment.

Tucson News Now is also learning new details about the scope of Murillo's crime spree from the charges listed in the criminal complaint.

Murillo is charged with two counts of impersonating a peace officer. The documents do not explain the circumstances behind these two charges.

Also, Tucson News Now was previously told Murillo carjacked three vehicles. However, the criminal complaint lists six charges of theft of means of transportation. Each charge lists a different vehicle, including one listed as a vehicle belonging to Santa Cruz County.
