PEORIA, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Police have canceled the Amber Alert issued on Monday, May 7, for a child who was abducted from Peoria, AZ.

Peoria police said 2-year-old Khaleesi Morales was located unharmed and that the suspect, 32-year-old Luis Jesus Morales, was taken into custody.

According to police, Luis Morales is the defendant in an order of protection that says he can not have contact with the child or her mother.

Police say Morales allegedly broke into the family's Peoria home at about 6 a.m., assaulted the woman, took the girl and left in a stolen car.

No further information was immediately available.
