TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Tucson police have confirmed they are investigating the suspicious death of a baby boy.

Sgt. Pete Dugan, spokesman for the Tucson Police Department, said 7-month-old Victor Self died on Saturday, Dec. 3.

The Tucson Fire Department was called to a home in the 3200 block of East Bellevue Avenue about an unresponsive child.

Dugan said Self was transported to a local hospital but was pronounced deceased shortly after arriving.

Self had "significant head injuries that appeared non-accidental in nature," according to Dugan.

Family and friends were in the home when Self was found and the investigation is ongoing.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or 88-CRIME.

A Facebook page called "Justice for Victor" has been set up by family and friends.
