TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Pima County is helping to make the trek along The Loop a little easier for walkers, joggers, and bikers by installing a pedestrian bridge over the Julian Wash near I-19 and Ajo Way on Tucson's south side.

The bridge is 140 feet long and has the same look as other bridges in the area along the wash.

Some people say this bridge has been a long time coming. They say they've been anxiously awaiting the bridge and felt there was a lot of back and forth to get it put in.

Installation of the bridge is being done by Hunter Construction Company.
