TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - All three suspects from an armed bank robbery in midtown Tucson have been captured, according to city police.
The Tucson Police Department said the Commerce Bank of Arizona, just west of Broadway Boulevard and Alvernon Way, was robbed early in the morning on Friday, June 29.
The suspects fled the scene, but their car crashed into another vehicle near Poe and Alvernon.
One of the suspects was immediately captured and officers surrounded the area to search for the other two.
The K-9 team was called in to help and the final two suspects were arrested shortly after, according to the TPD.
One of the suspects was bitten by a K-9 officer during his arrest but no one else was injured in the robbery or crash.
Portions of Alvernon were closed during the search but were reopen by noon.
