TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Deputies from the Pima County Sheriff's Department are investigating a fatal shooting incident.

According to a news release, the shooting happened at about 12:55 a.m. on Monday, July 9, in a residential area near North Myakka Avenue and West Diamond Street.

Responding deputies found 27-year-old Edward Dalton Decker dead of a gunshot wound. Northwest Hospital informed PCSD that a 24-year-old man was also being treated at its emergency room for a gunshot wound. He was to be transferred to Banner University Medical Center.

The reason for the shooting and the relationship between Decker and the other man is not known.
