Oro Valley providing sandbags for residents

ORO VALLEY, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The Town of Oro Valley is making sandbags available for its residents who may need them for monsoon preparation.

Sandbags can be picked up at Naranja Park, 810 W. Naranja Drive, just north of the archery range.

Bags are provided, but you need to bring a shovel to fill them. Those who need assistance can email Constituent Services Coordinator Jessica Hynd at jhynd@orovalleyaz.gov or call her at 520-229-4711 to make an appointment to pick up pre-filled bags.

There is a limit of 10 bags per vehicle, and they will be available through the duration of the monsoon.
