UPDATE: Charges dropped in connection with July homicide

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Charges have been dropped against a man in connection with a fatal stabbing in Tucson.

On Thursday, Aug. 2, the Pima County Attorney's Office said it dismissed a second-degree murder charge against Charles Zanghi.

At the time of his arrest, the Tucson Police Department said the 47-year-old Zanghi may have been involved in the death of a man on Sunday, July 15.

The victim, who has not been identified, was found on the ground outside an apartment complex near East Speedway and North 11th Avenue.

Witnesses told TPD they heard some sort of verbal altercation before the stabbing.

Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call 88-CRIME.
