TEP: Crash into pole causes power outage for 2,000 customers

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Customers of Tucson Electric Power lost service on the southwest side after a car crashed into a power pole on  Friday, July 27.

According to TEP, the crash near South Mission Road and West Ajo Way damaged the pole and electrical lines.

TEP's outage map showed that 2,000 customers in the area were without power for about an hour. About 400 customers were left without power longer.

Unspecified injuries have been reported as a result of the crash.

No further information was immediately available.
