TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A 70-year-old man died after a fatal vehicle collision on East Grant Road and North Palo Verde Boulevard Thursday night, July 26.

Eddie Kim passed away from his injuries shortly after the two-car crash, which occurred at approximately 8:30 p.m.

A black 2003 Chrysler PT Cruiser failed to yield and T-boned Kim's vehicle, according to witnesses interviewed by Tucson Police.

The driver and four children in the PT Cruiser were not injured.

First responders unpinned Kim from beneath his gold 1995 GMC Yukon after he was partially ejected during the accident.
It's possible Kim wasn't wearing a seat belt, according to a release from TPD.

Speed does not appear to be a factor in the collision, and there were no signs of impairment. TPD hasn't issued any charges or citations.

Detectives are continuing their investigation. Anyone with information about the collision is asked to call 88-CRIME.
