TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A suspect in relation to the July 27 fatal shooting near a hookah lounge in Tucson has been arrested.

On July 27, 2018, shortly after the shooting occurred, 22-year-old Dominic Blount arrived at a nearby hospital seeking treatment for a non-life threatening gunshot wound.

Gang Detectives interviewed Blount as part of their continuing investigation and also spoke with additional witnesses from the scene.

Based on the information collected, probable cause was established to arrest Dominic Blount for the murder of Avrum Diaz. On August 1, 2018, detectives obtained a felony arrest warrant on Blount for one count of First Degree Murder.

On that same date, personnel from the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force located Blount at a residence in the 3200 block of South Capri Circle.
