TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Convicted gymnastics doctor Larry Nassar has been moved from the federal prison on Wilmot Road after his lawyers reported he was assaulted behind bars, according to reports by ESPN and The Detroit News.

According to the reports, Nassar has been moved to a facility in Oklahoma.  It's not clear when the transfer took place, but his attorneys said a court filing last month that he was assaulted after being put into the general prison population.  Nassar had been serving a 60-year sentence at the Tucson facility since February after pleading guilty to child pornography charges.

He also faces a maximum of 175 years in prison for sex crimes, after more than 300 former patients said he abused them while he worked for Michigan State and USA Gymnastics.
