Engineering firm bringing 300 new jobs to Tucson

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Things are looking up for Tucson job seekers.

During a press conference on Friday, Gov. Doug Ducey announced that the Indian engineering firm Axiscades will bring 300 new jobs to the area over the next five years.

According to their website, the company provides engineering services to aerospace, heavy engineering, automotive and industrial products sectors.

In his speech, Gov. Ducey suggested that their most popular customer in Arizona will be Caterpillar, due to their need for mining technology.

According to Ducey, Arizona has added 240,000 new private sector jobs since 2015 and attracted major companies such as Amazon, Comcast and Hexagon Mining.
