Oro Valley police: 'Stranger danger' alert

ORO VALLEY, AZ (Tucson News Now) - The Oro Valley Police Department is reporting a suspicious person near La Cholla and Limewood.

According to OVPD the incident began around 8 a.m. Friday, when a 15-year-old girl who was approached by an older man while she was waiting for the bus, he asked the teen if she wanted a ride. The teen refused and the man drove away heading westbound on Limewood.

The girl's mother was parked a short distance away waiting for her daughter to board the bus, she saw the brief interaction.

The man is described as an older white man, with white hair and wearing a white T-shirt; he was driving a white, four-door Prius.

OVPD officers searched the area, but were not able to locate the man or the Prius.

The public is asked to remain vigilant and to call OVPD at (520) 229-4900 if they know who this is and report any suspicious activity they observe.
