Pedestrian hit and killed overnight on Tucson's east side

A man was hit and killed walking across Speedway Boulevard on the east side early Sunday morning, according to police in Tucson.
Officers responded to the street near Sonoita Avenue around 2:00 a.m. August 26, according to a release from the Tucson Police Department.
It stated the crews from Tucson Fire Department rushed the man to the hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
Sean Rollins was 30 years old, according to the release.
It stated that speed was not a factor in the crash. The driver of the truck that hit him remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, according to police. The driver did not show any sign of impairment, but officers are uncertain if Rollins was impaired.
Before the incident, he had left a local bar. Rollins was not in a crosswalk or crossing at an intersection, according to police.
