TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Looking for a furry friend? Then has the Humane Society of Southern Arizona got the deal for you!
"We have so many wonderful pets in need of a home, and we want to be sure that families have time to get to know their new pets," said Morgan Treiber, Adoptions Supervisor in a recent news release. "We thought that Labor Day Weekend would be a great time to do that, so we are encouraging everyone to come in, meet their new best friend and take them home for 50 percent off!"
Happening Friday, August 31, the HSSAZ is looking to adopt out 25 pets to their 'fur'ever families. In order to do this, the HSSA is reducing adoption fees on every pet in the shelter by 50 percent, for this one day only.
"We aren't funded by tax dollars or The Humane Society of the United States, but every once-in-awhile we can offer a special adoption fee like this, thanks to the generosity of local donors right here in our community," said Director of Operations Christian Gonzalez. "We hope to make the perfect fit for at least 25 pets and families this Friday."
This means that all adoption fees for adult dogs and cats will be just $40, while senior (but still extremely lovable) pets will be $25, and puppies and kittens will be $57.50.
Those interested can find more information and photos on adoptable furballs at hssaz.org.
Friday, Aug. 31, from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. is the special adoption event. Come see all the "adoptables" at The Humane Society of Southern Arizona at 635 West Roger Road, Tucson.
