UPDATE: WB I-10 reopens near Willcox after crash involving tanker truck of hydrogen peroxide

WILLCOX, AZ (Tucson News Now) - A crash involving a tanker truck of hydrogen peroxide closed westbound Interstate 10 west of Willcox for about 12 hours on Thursday, Aug. 30, according to the Arizona Department of Transportation.

The closure happened at milepost 330. It lasted from about 3 p.m. Thursday until about 3 a.m. Friday, Aug. 31.

One patient has been transported to the hospital. No further information was immediately available.

There was no health threat to the general public. However, the public was asked to stay away from the area.

According to ADOT the eastbound lanes of I-10 were not affected.
