BEAR DOWN: Houston has no problem with Arizona

TUCSON, AZ (Tucson News Now) - Houston quarterback D'Eriq King accounted for six touchdowns as the Cougars rolled Arizona 45-18.

King threw for 246 yards and four scores while running for 31 yards and two more.

Heisman Trophy candidate Khalil Tate was held under 100 yards rushing for a second straight game. The junior finished with seven carries for eight yards. He threw for 345 yards with two interceptions.

Arizona's first road game of the season was a complete disaster in the first half as Houston sprinted to a 31-0 lead at the intermission.

Wildcats wide receiver Shawn Poindexter was UA lone bright spot finishing with seven catches for 134 yards.

Freshman running back Darrius Smith scored his first collegiate touchdown. He ran for 51 yards on 11 carries.

UA (0-2) returns home next Saturday to take on Southern Utah at 8 p.m.
