Infamous Marjorie Caldwell Hagen Arrested

Marjorie Caldwell Hagen was arrested Friday evening at Atria Bell Court Gardens, an assisted living center on the east side of town. She is charged with theft, forgery and computer tampering.
A book, entitled "Will to Murder" has been written about Hagen, chronicling her involvement in the 1977 murders of her mother and her mother's nurse in Duluth, Minnesota. Though acquitted on the charges, DNA evidence not available at the time now links Hagen to both murders. She cannot be re-tried, however, as that would constitute double jeopardy.
Hagen is also linked to the suspicious death of a woman who, after eating a meal prepared by Hagen, slipped into a coma and died. Hagen then married the woman's surviving husband, who later died a suspicious death.
Most recently, Hagen served time for arsons committed in Ajo. She was released in 2004.
Police say they will release more information regarding this case in the coming week.
