SpaceX launches again Saturday night

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - For the third time in less than a month, SpaceX launched a rocket from Vandenberg Space Force Base in California.

On March 18 and April 1, SpaceX also launched Falon 9 rocket at the base and both times, it was clearly visible in the southern Arizona skies.

The launch on Saturday, April 6, was at 7:35 p.m. The rocket was carrying 21 Starlink satellites.

Many residents saw the rocket trail along with several dots in the sky for a few hours.

The dots are those satellites starting to open up their solar panels. The dots will be one in a row across the sky.

Once the satellites get to their orbit, they will turn and be almost invisible to the naked eye.

According to SpaceX, this was the sixth flight for the first-stage booster. Following stage separation, the first stage should land on a droneship in the Pacific Ocean.
