UPDATE: Pedestrian killed after being hit by car over the weekend

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The Tucson Police Department released new information about a crash that killed a pedestrian Saturday, December 14th.

The TPD says officers responded to the 3200 block of N. 1st Avenue after receiving reports of a collision involving an adult male pedestrian and a vehicle.

The pedestrian was pronounced dead at the scene. His identity has not been released.

Police detectives determined the pedestrian was standing in the northbound median lane of north 1st Avenue when he was hit by the Mazda.

Investigators discovered the pedestrian was not in a marked or unmarked crosswalk.

Police say the driver of the Mazda remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation. A
