New website eases the process of college and career planning for Arizonans

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - “What are you doing next?” can be a dreaded question for many high school students approaching graduation. From choosing between college or trade school to figuring out financial aid applications, the process can be overwhelming.

Education Forward Arizona has launched a new resource aimed at helping students navigate life after high school graduation. The website, called “Your Path to Success,” breaks down post-graduation planning and offers resources for students and adults looking to advance their education or careers.

According to Education Forward Arizona, 70 percent of jobs require post-secondary education or training, yet fewer than half of Arizona residents currently have those qualifications. Senior Director of Attainment, Dr. Jennifer Murphy explains that while the resource is geared toward high school students, it can still serve as a beneficial resource for adults looking to continue their education, earn new certifications, or pivot in their careers.

The free website features a 24/7 AI chatbot named Benji that answers questions about college applications, scholarships, financial aid, and more. Research shows students who complete the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) are 84 percent more likely to enroll in education or training after graduating high school.

Beyond four-year universities, the site presents alternative pathways including military service, trade schools, and community colleges. Several Southern Arizona school districts are already implementing the resource, including Marana Unified School District, Vail, Sahuarita and Nogales.
