Homeowner killed in Tucson house fire near Oracle, Grant

TUCSON, Ariz. (13 News) - The Tucson Police Department confirms an investigation has started into what caused a deadly residential fire Wednesday morning, April 29.

The fire happened in the area of Grant and Oracle.

The Tucson Fire Department says crews arrived and found a single-story brick home fully involved, with two nearby sheds also burning.

Crews fought the fire from the outside and say the homeowner was later found dead inside the burned home.

Several cats also died in the fire.

The TFD says the fire also damaged two nearby homes.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
